Rifle Stocks

Hope someone can help me out here. I have only assembled one AR from parts and have a question on a new project. I live in a ban state. I recently acquired a Stag with a collapsable stock which has been permanently pinned in place to comply with state law. Looks ridiculous. I've ordered a new Stag A2 rifle Stock buttstock to replace the collapsable. I've never taken one of these off before. Do I need the CAR stock wrench or is there some other way to get this off. I've put on an A2 stock before but are there any other stumbling blocks I should look out a Ak-47 Stock ?

Ruger 10/22 Stocks

Best way is the right wrench, but you might be able to get it off by laying the lower on something that won't scratch the RUGER 10/22 STOCK , sticking the tip of a flathead screwdriver in one of the notches on the locknut, and smacking it with a hammer a few times. It just has to back off enough to let the lockplate move back to disengage from the MAGPUL Stock. If it's staked it could be a bit tough to get moving. If that doesn't work and you don't mind seriously uglying up the locknut, grab it with vicegrips and go to town.

AR-15 Stocks

I have a bushmaster 20" hbar. I am considering adding the AR-15 stock. The buffer in my A2 is different than all my carbines. If I buy this stock, and a mill spec buffer tube, what spring/buffer combo do I need?

Do I need to worry about anything, like premature wear, if I use a carbine buffer system with a 20" barrel.

Anything else I should worry or know about Rifle Stocks ?
